As mentioned, my fish of choice is battered, fried and slathered in tartar sauce. I got to indulge in this recently on a trip out to Steveston- aka the old fishing village that has been absorbed into Richmond, but still maintains some of its charm. We didn’t arrive till the afternoon, so we were a bit too late to pick up some of the seafood that they sell straight off the boats in the harbour. We still wandered the docks, and saw the remaining huge salmon for sale (along with a few sharks). We then went to Dave’s Fish & Chips (Steveston’s ‘Original and best’), where we shared two delicious pieces of cod and chips.
