Reading Challenge Update

Well, it’s almost halfway through the year (!) and I’m not anywhere near to halfway finishing my reading challenge yet. Here’s an update on what I’ve read so far this year:

  • Any Known Blood (by Lawrence Hill)
  • Longbourn (by Jo Baker)
  • The Memory Palace (by Mira Bartok)
  • The Silver Star (by Jeanette Walls)

Is that it?! (Although in my defence I am currently working through the almost 800 page Natchez Burning). However, while the list may be limited, I have completed many more categories (as many fit into more then one):

  • A book with more than 500 pages
  • A book by a female author
  • A book with a one-word title
  • A book set in a different country
  • A book from an author you love that you haven’t read yet
  • A book based on a true story
  • A memoir
  • A book with a colour in the title
  • A book by an author you’ve never read before

Which brings the grand total to 9/50 categories completed. Click here to see the full list and which books fit where. Anyone know of any good books written in 1989? Or a (good) book that got a bad review? Or takes place in Vancouver?
